William F. Keeling, Jr., Attorney at Law is a lawyer in San Angelo, TX. My law practice includes but is not limited to family law matters including divorce, child custody, child support collection and modification, name change, marital agreements, premarital agreements, modification, adoption, wills, inheritance, probate, living wills, living trusts, guardianship and conservatorship, real estate, including residential, farm, ranch and commercial, landlord, tenant, conveyancing, foreclosure, business and medical powers of attorney, business, commercial and consumer matters. I represent debtors and creditors in matters involving claims and litigation in both State and Federal Courts. I represent individuals as well as banks and other corporate entities in a broad range of general civil practice matters requiring the services of an attorney for children, collections, secured collections, construction contracts, construction liens, construction litigation and other litigation matters.

Biography


WILLIAM F. KEELING, JR. ‑Bill was born in Albuquerque New Mexico on February 8, 1952. He graduated from Angelo State University in 1973 and received his legal education at Texas Tech University, graduating with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1976. He was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta fraternity and associate editor of the Texas Tech Law Review in 1975‑1976. Bill was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1976 and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts in the Northern district of Texas. He is a member of the Tom Green County and State Bar of Texas.


PRACTICE OBJECTIVE:

My objective is to provide thorough, prompt and economical legal advice, counsel and services to clients with whom I establish an attorney client relationship.

Civil Law Practice:

Wills, Probate, Trusts & Estates:

My practice includes the preparation of wills, business & medical powers of attorney, trusts to effectuate estate planning, filing wills for probate, intestate probate matters and procedures to avoid probate.

Real Estate & Property:

My practice includes representation of lenders, sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants in purchase, sale, lease, financing, transactions and foreclosures, including the preparation of Earnest Money Contracts, Deeds, Contracts For Deed, Leases, Notes, Security Agreements and Deeds of Trust and foreclosure of liens. I prepare business, residential and farm and ranch contracts and leases. I represent landlords and tenants in lease disputes and in eviction proceedings.

Divorce & Family Law:

My practice includes contested and uncontested divorce matters, child custody, adoptions, modification and enforcement of child support, preparation of child support lien affidavits and obtaining protective orders and name change. I prepare premarital agreements and separate property agreements.

Commercial:

I represent sellers, buyers, banks, debtors and creditors in secured transaction matters including drafting of security agreements, lien perfection and foreclosure of security interests. I represent contractors and owners in the preparation of Mechanic's Lien Contracts and notes and in matters relating to enforcement and contract disputes.

Corporations & Business:

I provide assistance in determining the appropriate business entity for new ventures including partnerships, limited liability companies and corporations, and in setting up those entities.

Estate Planning:

My practice includes planning to postpone, reduce or eliminate Federal Estate Tax and Texas Inheritance Tax. In some instances, the implementation of planning may eliminate the necessity for probate after the client's death. I prepare life estate deeds, gift deeds, trusts, and other instruments which may avoid probate proceedings after a persons death.

Litigation:

My practice includes representation of parties involved in family law, business, commercial, real estate, probate, bankruptcy and similar litigation matters, including collections.

Bankruptcy:

I provide assistance to secured and unsecured creditors in filing and establishing claims in Bankruptcy Court.
